The packaging process in the production process of steel balls is an important link to ensure the quality of finished steel balls and facilitate transportation and storage. The main purpose of packaging is to prevent surface damage, contamination, oxidation or rust during storage and transportation of steel balls, while facilitating metering and handling. According to different application scenarios and customer needs, the packaging of steel balls is often divided into iron drum packaging, carton packaging and cloth bag packaging, each of which has its own characteristics and scope of application in material selection, equipment requirements and process flow.
1.packaging technology principle
The core principles of steel ball packaging are:
Protection: Avoid damage to the surface of the steel ball under the action of external forces and environmental factors (such as humidity, oxidizing gas, pollutants).
Convenience: The packaging form should be easy to handle, measure and access the customer. The weight and volume should be properly controlled for easy stacking or transportation.
Environmental protection: Some packaging materials need to consider the characteristics of degradability or recycling to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
2. Packaging process equipment
Different packaging methods will use the following key equipment:
(1). Iron drum packing
Equipment:
Ball metering equipment: Used for the precise dispensing of steel balls, usually based on electronic weighing systems.
Automatic capping machine: used to seal the iron drum to ensure that it is not contaminated by the outside world.
Transport auxiliary equipment: such as roller conveyor or forklift, easy to load and unload.
Materials:
Metal buckets.
(2). Carton packing
Equipment:
Carton forming machine: the folded cardboard is pressed into a standard shape.
Lining bag packaging equipment: Before the steel ball enters the box, it is often necessary to add moisture-proof inner bag or anti-static plastic bag.
Automatic box sealing machine: The carton is wrapped by tape or packing tape.
Automatic labeling machine: Label the carton (such as product specifications, batch information, etc.).
Materials:
Corrugated box (generally double or triple thickened).
Plastic moisture-proof bag, anti-rust bag.
(3). Cloth bag packing
Equipment:
Automatic bag sewing machine: Seal the bag mouth to ensure that the steel ball will not fall.
Measuring equipment: used to accurately weigh the weight of each bag of steel balls.
Mechanical handling equipment: such as bagging elevator or chain conveyor.
Materials:
High strength woven bag (capacity is generally 10kg to 50kg).
Anti-rust liner or moisture-proof agent can be added optionally.
3, packaging process
(1). Drum packing process
① Measurement subassembly:
Steel balls are divided into drums using metering equipment according to customer order specifications.
②Sealed packaging:
Seal the iron drum. Add a moisture-proof washer to the mouth of the drum when high requirements are required.
③ Labeling and inspection:
Label the barrel body (including specifications, weights, production batches) and carry out appearance inspection.
④Warehousing or loading:
The sealed iron drums are stacked with forklifts for storage or loading and transportation.
(2) Carton packaging process
① Carton molding:
Press the cardboard into the box. If there is a lining bag, put the moisture-proof bag into the box.
② Steel ball loading:
Pour the measured steel balls into the carton. The inner bag should be wrapped tightly to prevent the ball from rolling and wearing the carton.
③ Sealing:
Use tape or packing tape to seal the box opening, and in some cases add protective Angle pads to enhance the compression resistance of the carton.
④Labeling and inspection:
Label the surface of the box, indicate the product information, and check the packaging strength.
⑤ Warehousing or transportation:
Finished cartons can be directly stacked for transportation or storage.
3. Bag packaging process
① Weighing and packing:
The steel balls are sorted into cloth bags according to the order requirements through a weighing system.
② Protective treatment:
If the customer has special requirements, the cloth bag can be added to moisture-proof agent or lined with rust-proof plastic film.
③Seam:
Sew the mouth of the bag to ensure that the steel ball does not fall.
④ Marking and handling:
The bag is identified by a label or inkjet machine, the product information is marked, and then transported to the storage area by conveyor or manual.
5.Summary
The ball packaging process is crucial in the production process, not only to meet basic protection requirements, but also to balance costs with actual needs.
Iron drum packaging is suitable for high-precision steel balls and long-term storage, despite the high cost, but excellent protection performance.
Because of its lightweight and economical characteristics, carton packaging is more suitable for the daily packaging of ordinary steel balls, especially in short-distance transportation scenarios.
Although cloth bag packaging has the weakest protective ability, its flexibility and cost advantages make it suitable for high-volume, low-cost steel ball packaging needs.
